Belly Dancing

Belly dancing is fun. I started belly dancing to get in shape, and, erm.. to impress my man :p  Then I got hooked. The music, laughter and basically, girl bonding with my new friends in the belly dance class was something I really look forward to each week.

In the midst of the fun and laughter and uplifting oriental music, torso gets toned, abdominals get a great workout, and I realised my figure has gotten curvier. Nice fringe benefits.

Once you've mastered the basic moves of this arabian dance, you use them in all forms of oriental dances. From bollywood dancing, to North African dance, to all sorts of oriental dances. 

It's a great form of exercise as each move isolate specific muscles so you really target them when you practice your dance moves. Although it is called bellydance, the moves target the entire body. Legs and arms get pretty toned too in the process.
